The 10 Best Yoga Studios & Retreats in Bali (2026)

How we choose: we live here and practice at the west-coast studios ourselves; for Ubud, the Bukit and Sanur we combined our own visits with published schedules, price lists and long review records. Every drop-in price below has a source. Studios cannot buy a spot - the order is editorial, and anything we could not verify is marked "н/д", not guessed.

The Yoga Barn

Editor's pick
⭐ rating н/д (2,266 Tripadvisor reviews)Ubud · PengosekanDrop-in 165k IDRKITAS holders 100k IDR

The most complete yoga campus in Asia: a jungle village of shalas with overlapping classes running all day, from Hatha and Iyengar through aerial, breathwork and sound healing. It has the deepest review record of any studio on the island and publishes its prices, including an honest resident rate. Yes, it is famous and busy - peak classes can hold up to 40 mats - and we say so out loud. If you want intimacy, look at 02 or 03; if you want the full range of what Bali yoga can be, in one place, this is still it.

Unmatched schedule breadth: overlapping classes all day, every style 2,266 Tripadvisor reviews and published, transparent pricing Peak classes are large - up to 40 people, more factory than sanctuary Book popular classes ahead; central Ubud traffic to get there

Radiantly Alive

⭐ rating н/д (515 Tripadvisor reviews)Ubud · Jl. JembawanDrop-in 165k IDR

Ubud's community studio: smaller classes than the Barn, an expressive house style (RA Vinyasa, Roll and Release, Kundalini, Fly High) and a teaching bench strong enough that its teacher trainings draw students year-round. Choose it when you want to be corrected by name rather than flow anonymously in a crowd.

Smaller classes and hands-on teaching Strong YTT reputation - the teachers teach teachers Narrower schedule than the big campuses Unlimited passes are the value play; single drop-ins add up

The Practice

4.5 (406 Google reviews)Canggu · Batu BolongDrop-in 150k IDR

The west coast's serious shala: classical Hatha taught in its traditional forms (Moon, Sun, Fire) inside a landmark bamboo cathedral, with real discipline - doors close on time and phones stay out. It anchors our separate street-level guide too; on the island scale it is simply the strongest traditional lineage outside Ubud.

Classical Hatha lineage, taught properly, not fitness-flow Landmark bamboo shala a short walk from Batu Bolong beach Structured and strict - late entry is not allowed Not the place for power/sculpt-style workouts

Alchemy Yoga & Meditation Center

⭐ rating н/дUbud · PenestananDrop-in 165k IDR

Up the Penestanan steps away from central Ubud's bustle, two bamboo shalas teach a traditional tantra-rooted curriculum organised around the elements, with ecstatic dance and sound healing on the calendar. The quiet, local-feeling alternative to the big Ubud names, at the same 165k price point.

Traditional tantra and meditation depth, not just asana Calmer location and crowd than central Ubud studios Fewer classes per day than the Barn A walk or short ride from Ubud center

Udara Bali

⭐ rating н/дSeseh · north of CangguDrop-in 170k IDR

The retreat entry on this list you can also just drop into: an oceanfront wellness resort where the class menu runs from aerial and water yoga to sound healing, backed by a spa, sauna and pool. If you want one address where the yoga holiday happens around you rather than a studio you commute to, this is the strongest single-site option near the west coast.

Full retreat infrastructure: shalas, spa, sauna, pool, ocean sunsets Rare formats - water yoga, aerial - under one roof Seseh is a ride from Canggu proper; plan transport Destination pricing on packages; day visits are the value entry

Morning Light Yoga (Uluwatu Surf Villas)

⭐ rating н/дUluwatu · Suluban cliffClass 150k IDR

One class a day, in the morning, on an open-air deck above the Uluwatu cliffline - and that single class is the reason people set alarms on the Bukit. Vinyasa and mobility built for bodies coming out of the surf, with the ocean doing the soundtrack. The most scenic mat placement on this list.

Clifftop open-air shala above the break Surfer-aware sequencing: shoulders, hips, backs One morning class a day - miss it and that is that Schedule via Instagram rather than a booking site

Surf & Yoga Canggu

Network partner
⭐ rating н/дCanggu · Batu BolongDrop-in н/д

A traditional shala paired with a real surf program under one roof - daily yoga you bolt onto a morning in the water, island-style. Full disclosure: it is part of The Ten List perk network, which is exactly why we rank it on merit in the middle of this list instead of floating it to the top. On an island where "surf and yoga" is usually a hotel add-on, this is one of the few places where both halves are real.

Genuine surf-and-yoga combo, not a marketing bundle Walkable to Batu Bolong beach and the Canggu studio cluster A camp first - the yoga schedule is narrower than a dedicated studio Google rating and drop-in price not confirmed at time of writing

Yoga Searcher Bali

⭐ rating н/дUluwatu · Labuan SaitClass 150k IDR

The Bukit's full-schedule studio: creative flows and deep stretching aimed squarely at surf recovery, on the Labuan Sait strip in Suluban. Where Morning Light is one perfect class, Yoga Searcher is the place you can actually build a daily practice around while staying in Uluwatu.

Proper multi-class daily schedule on the Bukit Deep-stretch and recovery focus suits surf-tired bodies Less dramatic setting than the clifftop shalas High-season classes fill with the surf camps nearby

Yoga 108

⭐ rating н/дSeminyak · Jl. DrupadiDrop-in 120k IDR

Seminyak's honest neighbourhood studio: Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and sound healing at 120k - the cheapest verified drop-in on this list outside Sanur, in the island's most expensive district. No resort theatrics, just a solid schedule you can walk to from the Seminyak villas.

Best-value drop-in in the Seminyak area at 120k Broad style range including Yin and sound healing Modest space - no jungle or ocean backdrop Smaller schedule than the Ubud campuses

Power of Now Oasis

⭐ rating н/дSanur · beachfrontDrop-in 140k IDR

A bamboo shala on the sand at Sanur beach, teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar and Yin to a calmer, mixed-age crowd than the west coast. Sunrise on the east-facing beach through the bamboo slats is the quiet payoff Sanur specialises in.

Beachfront bamboo shala with sunrise classes Unhurried Sanur crowd - welcoming for beginners and older yogis Sanur is a cross-island ride from Canggu or the Bukit Sea breeze and beach sounds are not for everyone's focus

🧘 Staying on the west coast?

Canggu alone has a dozen studios worth arguing about - Adda's 4.9-rated shala, Samadi's Mysore program, The Path in Pererenan. We ranked them street by street, with drop-in prices and live Google ratings: the 10 best yoga studios in Canggu.

Frequently asked

How much does a yoga class cost in Bali?

Remarkably consistent: verified drop-ins on this list run from 120k IDR (Yoga 108 in Seminyak) to 185k IDR (Ubud Yoga House, in our wider research), with most big names - Yoga Barn, Radiantly Alive, Alchemy - at 165k and the west coast around 140-170k. Residents with a KITAS pay less at some studios: the Yoga Barn's local rate is 100k. Class passes typically cut the per-class price by a third or more.

Which area of Bali is best for yoga?

Ubud is the island's yoga capital - the Yoga Barn, Radiantly Alive and Alchemy alone justify basing there for a practice-focused trip. Canggu leads for combining yoga with surf and cafe life, Uluwatu for clifftop classes between sessions in the water, Sanur for a quieter beachfront practice, and Seseh (Udara) for a single-site retreat feel.

What about yoga teacher training (YTT) in Bali?

Bali is one of the world's biggest YTT destinations. On this list, the Yoga Barn, Radiantly Alive and Samadi (in our Canggu guide) all run established 200-hour programs; Radiantly Alive's trainings are the ones most often praised in reviews for intensity and structure. Compare curricula and lead teachers, not just venues - programs differ far more than drop-in classes do.

Do I need to book yoga classes in advance?

For most studios a walk-in 15 minutes early works. Exceptions: popular Yoga Barn classes in high season (book via their app or site), The Practice (doors close on time, late entry is not allowed) and one-class-a-day venues like Morning Light, where missing the morning slot means missing the day.

Is this list sponsored?

No. Placement is never paid. One venue, Surf & Yoga Canggu, is part of The Ten List perk network - we label it "network partner" in plain sight and rank it on merit in the middle of the list. Prices we could not verify are marked "н/д" rather than invented.
