The 10 Best Restaurants in Sanur: What Dinner Actually Costs (2026)
Updated July 2026 · By Alex M., our Canggu-based editor - on this coast since 2019 · Independent ranking, placement is never paid
How we choose: every restaurant here has a published price, either a per-head range from a local Sanur dining guide or dish prices from the restaurant's own menu. That is a deliberate filter. The best-known 2026 list of Sanur dinner spots covers twelve restaurants and prints not a single number, which is exactly the gap this page fills. We rank across the whole ladder, from a 15,000 rupiah plate at the night market to a 1,200,000 wagyu ribeye on an official menu, because Sanur's real character is that both exist within a fifteen-minute walk and the town is not embarrassed about either. Where a restaurant is genuinely good but publishes nothing, we say so at the bottom instead of inventing a price band. Where two sources disagree, as with the town's most famous warung, we print both. Nobody can buy a place on this list.

⭐ rating n/aJl. Hang Tuah No.45Set meal 55k to 100k IDRSince 1941
One dish since 1941, and it is still the only meal in Sanur that people drive across the island for. There is no menu to read: every table gets the same set - a whole crisp deep-fried sea fish, a bowl of fish head soup with ginger, shallots, tamarind and chilli, steamed rice, sambal. The package has been reported at about 55,000 IDR with drinks 4,000 to 30,000, while more recent visitor reports put the paket at 75,000 to 100,000 a head depending on the fish of the day, so budget the higher figure and treat the lower as historical. It is our pick because it is the cheapest thing in this ranking and the one you will still be describing to people a year later, which is a combination no steakhouse in Bali can offer.
One dish, perfected over eighty-five years
The cheapest position in this ten by a wide margin
Genuinely local crowd, Indonesian visitors as much as tourists
Price has drifted: 55,000 in one source, 75,000 to 100,000 in recent reports
Queues at peak hours, and there is nothing to choose: one set, take it or leave it
Plastic-chair setting, no view, no vegetarian option

⭐ rating n/aJl. Danau Tamblingan No.156Pasta 250-280k · wagyu ribeye 1.2m IDROpened May 2026
Sanur's newest serious table, a modern steakhouse from the team behind Boy 'N Cow, and the only restaurant in this ranking that publishes its full menu with prices, which we rate highly on principle. Dry-aged Australian Black Angus and Japanese wagyu: a 280g Carrara MB3+ ribeye at 1,200,000 IDR, a 500g Kagawa Olive A5 ribeye at 8,500,000 for the table that wants to spend it. Around that, Sakoshi oysters 95,000 each, salmon tartare 150,000, foie gras 270,000, seared salmon 390,000, king tiger prawns 450,000, fettuccine alfredo 250,000, mafaldine with short-rib ragout 280,000, sides 70,000 to 120,000, chocolate lava cake 125,000. Two of you can eat pasta and a starter for around 700,000, or the A5 ribeye can cost more than a night at any Sanur hotel we have seen priced.
Full official menu with prices, rare in Bali at this level
Pasta at 250,000 to 280,000 makes it accessible without the steak
Central Tamblingan address, walkable from most Sanur hotels
The A5 ribeye at 8,500,000 is the district's price ceiling by far
Opened May 2026, so no long track record yet
Check whether tax and service are on top when you book

Mozza
⭐ rating n/aSanur, about 1.2km from the HyattDishes 125-250k · 150-300k per person
The most transparent kitchen in Sanur on price, and that alone makes it easy to recommend for a first night: smokey BBQ pork ribs 250,000 IDR, rib eye 195,000, roasted pork belly 150,000, beef rendang 125,000, crispy duck 135,000, the house burger 125,000, apple pie 59,000, chocolate lava cake 45,000. Italian-Mediterranean with Indonesian classics done properly rather than as an afterthought, landing at 150,000 to 300,000 a person. The rendang at 125,000 next to a 195,000 rib eye is the clearest illustration of Sanur's whole pricing logic, and there is no guesswork about the bill before you sit down.
Dish-level prices published across the whole menu
Indonesian classics and Western mains at the same table
150,000 to 300,000 a head, the district's mid-range benchmark
A short ride from the Tamblingan hotel strip, not walkable for all
Broad menu rather than a single specialism
Not in the curated 2026 dinner lists, so we sourced prices from a local guide

Fisherman's Club at Andaz Bali
⭐ rating n/aAndaz Bali, Jl. Danau Tamblingan No.89aFish and chips 140k ++ · 300-600k per person
The beachfront answer, and the honest version of what beachfront costs in Sanur: fish and chips 140,000 IDR plus tax and service, a beef burger 150,000 on the same terms, and a realistic 300,000 to 600,000 a head once drinks arrive. What you are buying is the position - tables at the sand inside the Andaz, with the calm reef-protected water Sanur is known for in front of you - rather than a kitchen doing anything a warung could not. Remember the plus signs: 140,000 ++ is about 169,000 on the bill at the usual 21 percent.
Proper beachfront tables, not a road-side terrace
Individual dish prices published, unusual for a resort restaurant
Works for a long lunch as well as dinner
Marked "++", so 140,000 lands near 169,000
300,000 to 600,000 a head is resort pricing for casual food
Hotel setting, hotel-guest priority at peak times

Shotgun Social Bali
⭐ rating n/aJl. Pantai Sindhu No.11Burger 95k · 40-150k IDR per person
The most useful restaurant in Sanur if you are travelling with other people who all want different things: a communal space with a restaurant, bar and cafe under one roof and a bill of 40,000 to 150,000 a head, with a peri peri chicken breast burger and fries at 95,000. That range is the widest of anything in this ten, which is the point - one table can hold a coffee, a burger, a craft beer and a full dinner without anyone compromising. It is a few streets from Sindhu beach, so it slots naturally after an afternoon on the sand.
40,000 to 150,000 a head, the most flexible bill in the district
Restaurant, bar and cafe in one venue, good for mixed groups
Near Sindhu beach and the night market
Loud when it is full, not a quiet dinner
Only one dish price published, the rest is a range
International menu, nothing distinctly Balinese

Byrd House Bali
⭐ rating n/aSegara Village Hotel, Jl. Segara AyuAbout 200-400k IDR per personMediterranean
Mediterranean and Italian cooking inside the Segara Village Hotel, at roughly 200,000 to 400,000 a head, and one of the few places in Sanur that manages to be a hotel restaurant without feeling like one. It appears in the curated 2026 Sanur dinner list on merit, and the position - off the main road, a short walk from the beach path - is the reason to choose it over the same money spent on Tamblingan. Dish-level prices are not published, so the range is what you plan around.
Off the main road, a short walk from the beach path
On the curated 2026 Sanur dinner list
Mediterranean and Italian menu, built for a slower dinner
No published dish prices, only a per-head range
Hotel restaurant, so expect a mixed crowd of guests
200,000 to 400,000 is mid-to-upper for Sanur

⭐ rating n/aJl. Danau Tamblingan No.102Tacos 20k · 150-250k IDR per personTex-Mex
Bali's Mexican food is mostly an expensive disappointment, and this is the Sanur exception: tacos at 20,000 IDR each, a full Tex-Mex menu, and a bill of 150,000 to 250,000 a person, on the main street 170 metres from the Hyatt. Twenty thousand a taco means a table of four can order widely for less than one main at the resort restaurants above, which is the kind of arithmetic that gets a restaurant into this ranking. It is loud and busy in the evenings; that is part of what it is selling.
Tacos at 20,000, the best small-plate price in Sanur
On the curated 2026 Sanur dinner list
Central Tamblingan, walkable from the main hotels
Busy and loud at peak evening hours
Only the taco price is published, the rest is a range
Tex-Mex rather than regional Mexican cooking

Akari Japanese Restaurant
⭐ rating n/aJl. Danau TamblinganRamen 65k · all-you-can-eat sushi 158k IDR
The value-per-plate champion of Sanur: pork miso ramen at 65,000 IDR and all-you-can-eat sushi at 158,000, which is less than a single main at the beachfront restaurants further up this page. Sanur has an unusually deep Japanese bench for a town this size - Tokyo Sushi charges 30,000 to 35,000 a piece nearby and Kuu inside the Maya resort does a chicken teriyaki bento at 110,000 - and Akari is the one where the maths is best if you are hungry rather than curious. Basic room, quick service, no ceremony.
All-you-can-eat sushi at 158,000, the district's best volume deal
65,000 ramen is a full meal for the price of a cocktail
Central and open through the evening
Plain room, no atmosphere to speak of
All-you-can-eat quality is honest rather than exceptional
Prices sourced from a local guide, not a published menu

Sindhu Night Market
⭐ rating n/aPasar Sindhu, Sindhu areaPortions 15-30k · dinner 25-50k IDREvenings
The floor of the whole district and the reason Sanur still feels like a town rather than a resort strip. Portions run 15,000 to 30,000 IDR, ten satay skewers 20,000 to 30,000, a filling plate 20,000 to 40,000, and a complete dinner with a drink 25,000 to 50,000 a person. Satay, rice plates, grilled fish, martabak; you eat standing or on plastic stools among people doing their weekly shop. We put a market in this ten deliberately: leaving it out to make room for an eleventh restaurant would misrepresent how most of Sanur eats on a Tuesday.
A full dinner for 25,000 to 50,000, ten to twenty times cheaper than the top of this list
Local market rather than a tourist food court
Walkable from the Sindhu beach hotels
Evenings only, and it winds down early by Bali standards
Cash only, no menus, limited English at some stalls
Choose busy stalls with high turnover: see our Bali belly guide
More Sanur tables, and the ones we could not price
Priced, but not in the ten. Firefox Steakhouse at the Andaz does a 200g tenderloin at 1,200,000 and whiskey BBQ pork ribs at 300,000. Blossom Steakhouse at ICON Bali Mall runs 300,000 to 600,000 a head. Blue Oven at the Andaz charges about 200,000 for pasta and 115,000 to 140,000 for wine by the glass, and Wok Wok's weekend Bubbly Breakfast is 544,500 net an adult. Genius Cafe on the beach has mains from 70,000 ++ and doubles as a coworking space. Retro Kitchen does a full English at 65,000, Pizza N Gooo sells slices at 20,000 and trays at 135,000, Ganesha's Sunday Indian buffet is 150,000 ++, and Place 2 Be pours a small Bintang at 28,000 with cocktails at 85,000 to 90,000. Per-head ranges elsewhere: Warung Rainbow 50,000 to 100,000, Mona Lisa and Brasserie Republique 100,000 to 200,000, Soya Cafe 100,000 to 250,000, Saigon Cafe 150,000 to 250,000, Naughty Nuri's and 2080 Burger 150,000 to 300,000, Santorini Greek and Gong 200,000 to 350,000, Lava Gastrobar and The Fire Station 250,000 to 500,000, SEJA 200,000 to 500,000 and up.
Sanur institutions we could not price. Massimo on Jl. Danau Tamblingan No.228 has been the town's Italian reference for nearly three decades, makes its own mozzarella, burrata and ricotta daily, runs a wood-fired oven and keeps more than forty gelato flavours at 20,000 for two scoops - but publishes no prices for its mains, so it cannot be ranked against restaurants that do. Pasar on Jl. Pungutan No.21, the Peruvian open-fire kitchen open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm, puts its menus online as PDFs without prices. Same for Curry Traders, Oliver's Place, Jungle Tree, Kaluma, Tsune, Cork French Tavern, Warung Pregina and the restaurants inside the Hyatt Regency: good addresses, honest "n/a".
What Sanur does not have. No beach club in the Seminyak sense, no rooftop bar scene, and very few late kitchens, because Sanur eats early. If a sunset daybed with a minimum spend is the plan, that is a different district: see the Seminyak beach club ranking and how beach clubs work.
Frequently asked
How much is dinner in Sanur?
Six honest tiers. Night market: 15,000 to 30,000 a portion, 25,000 to 50,000 for a full dinner. Warung: Mak Beng 55,000 to 100,000, Warung Rainbow 50,000 to 100,000. Casual: Shotgun Social 40,000 to 150,000 a head with a 95,000 burger, Akari ramen 65,000 and all-you-can-eat sushi 158,000, Genius Cafe mains from 70,000 ++. Mid-range: Mozza 150,000 to 300,000 with dishes at 125,000 to 250,000, Jalapeño 150,000 to 250,000, Naga Eight 200,000 to 350,000, Byrd House 200,000 to 400,000. Beachfront resort: Fisherman's Club 300,000 to 600,000. Ceiling: LUCA's 280g wagyu ribeye 1,200,000 and its A5 500g at 8,500,000.
Is Sanur cheaper than Seminyak for eating out?
In the middle, yes. Sanur's mid-range is 150,000 to 350,000 a head, while Seminyak starts published mains at 90,000 ++ and runs to 230,000 to 320,000 for a single fine-dining plate with set menus at 500,000 to 700,000 a person. Sanur's cheap end is also cheaper and much easier to find, since the night market and the warungs sit next to the hotels rather than a ride away. The one place Sanur is more expensive is the very top: LUCA's A5 wagyu at 8,500,000 is the highest single dish price we have published for any district.
Where do locals eat in Sanur?
Sindhu Night Market for everyday food at 15,000 to 30,000 a portion, and Warung Mak Beng for the one dish the town is famous for, where the queue is as Indonesian as it is foreign. Beyond this ranking, Warung Pregina on Jl. Danau Tamblingan does Balinese crispy duck and babi guling, and Warung Rainbow sits at 50,000 to 100,000 a head. The Tamblingan strip is where visitors eat; the streets one block back are where the prices halve.
Can you eat on the beach in Sanur?
Yes, and more easily than in most of Bali because the paved beach path runs the whole length of the town. Fisherman's Club inside the Andaz has tables at the sand with fish and chips at 140,000 ++. Genius Cafe on Jl. Kusuma Sari is beachfront with mains from 70,000 ++. Sand Beach Bar near ICON Bali Mall runs 100,000 to 200,000 a dish. The Beach Spa & Cafe at Mertasari combines a beach view with a treatment, which is covered in our Sanur spa ranking.
What does "++" mean on a Sanur menu?
Tax and service added on top, normally 21 percent in total. So fish and chips at 140,000 ++ costs about 169,000, a 400,000 ++ set menu about 484,000, and Genius Cafe's 70,000 ++ main about 85,000. Warungs and the night market quote net prices with nothing added, which widens the real gap between the tiers more than the menus suggest.
Is this Sanur restaurant ranking sponsored?
No. No restaurant can buy a place and we take no commission. Every ranked venue has a published price: dish prices from the restaurant's own menu where it publishes one, or a per-head range from a named local Sanur dining guide. Restaurants that publish nothing, including well-loved ones like Massimo and Pasar, are listed at the bottom as "n/a" rather than given an invented price band. Where sources disagree, as with Warung Mak Beng at 55,000 against 75,000 to 100,000, we print both figures.
