Closed in Bali 2026: venues other guides still recommend
What this is: a running list of venues that have closed, paused, moved or lost their website, and are still sent traffic by 2026 "best of" articles. We include ourselves: two of the three confirmed closures sat in our own Canggu coworking ranking until 16 October 2026. Each row carries the date, the evidence, a source link and the open venue we would send you to instead. A weekly script checks the website of every venue we rank; what it flags lands here after a human look.
Confirmed closed
Closure stated by the venue itself or by two independent 2026 sources. "Still listed by" names the kind of guide still recommending it when we checked.

Moved, renamed or lost their domain (not closed)
These are the false alarms a dead link produces. The venue is open or likely open; only the address on the web changed. Guides that copy the old link send readers to a 404 or, in two cases, to an unrelated site.
| Venue | Status | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| BWork Bali Coworking · Jl. Nelayan No.9C, Canggu | Open, new domain | Domain changed: bworkbali.com no longer resolves; the live site is bwork.id. Open, with a second branch in Uluwatu (Jl. Labuansait, Pecatu). Day pass 299k on 16 Oct 2026. Live: bwork.id. |

| Re Massage Studio Massage · Jl. Petitenget No.88D, Seminyak | Domain lost, venue status unverified | The studio's domain re-massage.com lapsed and now serves an unrelated Japanese site (16 Oct 2026). We removed the link; the studio's own status is unverified, check Maps or Instagram. |
| Movement Hands Massage · Jl. Pantai Berawa No.8, Canggu | Website offline, venue status unverified | movementhands.com stopped resolving in October 2026; no Google Business or Instagram confirmation found by us. We removed the link; the venue's status is unverified. |
| Prana Spa Spa · Jl. Kunti I No.118X, Seminyak | Domain hijacked, spa reportedly open | pranaspabali.com still answers with HTTP 200 but the content was replaced by a gambling site (noted July 2026). The spa itself is listed as open by 2026 guides; we do not link the domain. |
| CrossFit Canggu Gym · Jl. Pantai Berawa No.105.5, Level 2, Canggu | Open, two names, one address | Now trades inside Fortitude Bali's multi-level facility at the same address, with the CrossFit Canggu name kept as a programme and Instagram account; Maps and ClassPass show both names. Not a closure. Live: fortitudebali.com. |
| The Wrong Gym (Pererenan) Gym · Jl. Pantai Pererenan | Renamed on site, brand moved | The Pererenan site now trades as RITE under new ownership (day pass 500k); the Wrong Gym brand moved to Pecatu, Uluwatu. Guides that list "Wrong Gym, Pererenan" point to RITE. Live: www.cabobali.com. |

| Parq Ubud (Hothaus bathhouse) Recovery · Ubud | Domain hijacked, venue reportedly open under a new name | parqubud.com answers with a gambling site (16 Oct 2026); an undated listing shows the bathhouse trading as Sana Bali (ex Hothaus) inside Parq at 150k/200k. We removed the link; status to confirm on site. |
| Yoga Searcher Bali Yoga · Labuan Sait, Uluwatu | Open as a retreat lodge, studio access unconfirmed | yogasearcher-bali.com redirects to the French parent's retreat page; the eco-lodge and shalas are listed on booking sites, drop-in for non-guests unconfirmed (16 Oct 2026). How we check
Every venue we rank has its website fetched weekly by venue-health: a 404 or 410 on the venue's own domain, a domain that no longer resolves, or closure wording on the page raises a flag. A flag is not a verdict. For each flag we look for the venue's own statement, then for two independent 2026 sources, then at Maps and Instagram. Only then does a venue move from "paused or unconfirmed" to "confirmed closed", and only then do we remove it from a ranking and name a replacement that we verified the same day.
Found a closure we missed, or a venue listed here that reopened? Write to info@thetenlist.com with the venue and your source. Prices and open venues for every category: Bali Wellness Price Index.
Frequently asked
Is Dojo Bali in Canggu still open?
No. Dojo Bali at Echo Beach closed in December 2022 and its own website says so. Many 2026 coworking guides still list it, and so did our Canggu coworking ranking until 16 October 2026. Working alternatives in Tibubeneng: PUCO Rooftop (day pass 200k IDR), SOKKOOL (180k), SETTER (299k).
Is Outpost Canggu still open?
The coworking floor in Berawa closed in April 2024. Outpost's coliving in Berawa and its Ubud coworking continue, so a membership bought for Ubud still works there.
Is Kinship Studio in Canggu still open?
No. Kinship Studio closed in 2026; its website is offline and 2026 guides that still rank it are out of date.
How do you decide a venue is closed?
We need either the venue's own statement (a closure banner, a 404 or 410 on its own domain) or two independent 2026 sources. A dead domain alone is not enough: BWork Bali lost bworkbali.com but is open at bwork.id, and Re Massage Studio lost re-massage.com to an unrelated site while the studio itself may still trade. Single-source reports stay in the "paused or unconfirmed" list until a second source or our own visit confirms them.
I write a Bali guide. What should I do with these?
Replace the closed venue with a verified open one and date the check. Every row above links to a source and to our replacement list; copy the date and the source into your text so your readers can see it was checked. If you found a closure we missed, write to info@thetenlist.com with the venue and the source.
