How we choose: we took the dive centres and instructors Google Maps returned for our search within about 30 km of central Florianopolis, kept those rated 4.4 or higher with at least 40 reviews and still open, one per brand, and ordered them by a review-weighted score. One pick is filed by Google as a boat tour agency but its site runs scuba trips. Only Acquanauta publishes a course price. We built the list from Google ratings, reviews and the places' own sites, not from visits, and no place paid to be listed.
