Bali Q&A

How much is an ice bath session in Canggu?

Short answerA single ice bath session in Canggu costs 300,000-550,000 IDR at the venues that publish a ticket: Udara in Seseh 300,000 on a weekday for the hot and cold pools and ice bath, Reload's sunset pass 349,000, Alchemy 350,000 for a private 60-minute infrared sauna and cold plunge, Body Factory from 350,000 plus tax for its recovery wing, sundaymood 499,000 for a private 75-minute sauna and ice bath (360,000 before 10:15am), Reload's full day pass 549,000. The top of the market is Nirvana Life's Life Pass from 725,000 plus tax, which buys the whole club for a day, and AMO Bathhouse, which does not publish a bath-only entry and sells the full sauna-hammam-ice circuit inside packages from 900,000 for 90 minutes. Those are the venues' own published prices, re-read on 17 October 2026.

The single-session table from our Canggu ranking

Every venue here is on our ranking of the best recovery spots in Canggu, plus Udara, which sits in Seseh at the northern edge and is on the island-wide recovery list through its spa. "One session" is the cheapest single ticket each venue publishes; "++" means 10 percent tax and 5 percent service on top; "not published" means exactly that, and we did not guess.

Six venues publish a single ticket: 300,000, 349,000, 350,000, 350,000 plus tax, 499,000 and 549,000, with Nirvana's 725,000 plus tax as the club-day outlier. Median for a published single session about 425,000 IDR. Two of the nine (PATH, Power + Revive) sell only packs or intros, and AMO sells only packages.

Three products hide behind "an ice bath"

The reason the quotes run from 300,000 to 900,000 for what sounds like the same thing is that Canggu sells three different things under one word.

The gym recovery wing, 350,000-725,000 plus tax. Body Factory, Nirvana Life, Reload, Power + Revive and PATH are gyms first; the ice bath sits next to the sauna beside the training floor, and the ticket is a day pass. You share the tubs, you can stay as long as the pass allows, and at Body Factory and Nirvana the cold is the real thing, 4-5 C with a strong flow. Reload prices the same wing three ways by time of day, 349,000 after 5pm, 449,000 at dawn, 549,000 all day.

The private session, 350,000-499,000. Alchemy and sundaymood sell a room, not a floor: a 60 or 75-minute slot with the infrared sauna and the plunge to yourself (or to you and one friend). Nobody is waiting for the tub, which is what the extra money buys. sundaymood's water is 8 C saltwater, warmer than the gym tubs and deliberately so.

The bathhouse circuit, 900,000 and up. AMO is a different animal: a 100 C Finnish sauna, a hammam, a steam room, 4 C ice barrels and 12-15 C plunge pools, sold inside packages that bundle a massage or a scrub. It does not publish a bath-only price, and "single entry available" on arrival is the most anyone will tell you in advance. If the ritual is the point, it is the best room in town; if the ice bath is the point, it is the most expensive way to get one.

What moves the price

  • Time of day. The biggest lever on the whole list. Reload: 349,000 sunset against 549,000 full day. sundaymood: 360,000 before 10:15am against 499,000. Body Factory: half price on the recovery wing on Sundays. If your schedule is flexible, the same plunge costs 30-40 percent less.
  • Privacy. Alchemy at 350,000 and sundaymood at 499,000 are the only published single tickets that give you the room alone, and Alchemy lets a second person in for 100,000, which makes it 225,000 a head, the cheapest private plunge in Canggu for two.
  • What is in the ticket. Nirvana's 725,000 plus tax is dear for an ice bath and cheap for a day that includes the gym, up to three classes and the recovery suite; Udara's 300,000 is for the pools and the ice bath only, with the spa menu priced separately (a signature massage there is 640,000).
  • Tax. "++" adds about 15 percent: Body Factory's 350,000 is roughly 403,000 at the till, Nirvana's 725,000 about 835,000, Reload's published figures already include it.

Packs and memberships: where the break-even sits

If you are here for a month and plan to plunge most days, the packs change the picture entirely. PATH's ten visits for 1.35 million is 135,000 a session, the lowest per-visit number published in Canggu, and its month of unlimited recovery at 1.6 million pays for itself against that pack on the twelfth visit. sundaymood's ten-pack brings a private 75-minute session to 290,000, and its 2.5 million membership (30 credits in 30 days) is, as the studio itself puts it, about 80,000 a session if you use every credit and expensive if you use ten. Alchemy's twenty passes at 5.5 million is 275,000 a session against 350,000 single. Reload's week pass at 1.69 million plus tax is seven consecutive days, 241,000 a day, with the gym and classes included.

The rule to carry: a pack that gets a shared session under 150,000 or a private one under 300,000 is a good one here; nothing published gets a drop-in under 300,000.

Not for

Skip the gym recovery wings at 5-7pm if you want the tub to yourself: that is the queue hour at Body Factory and Nirvana, and the private rooms at Alchemy or sundaymood are the better buy then even at a higher ticket. Skip AMO if you only want ten minutes of cold; you will be paying for a sauna, a hammam and a scrub you did not come for. And skip the 4 C tubs if you are new to cold water; sundaymood's 8 C and PATH's 6-9 C plunge are the published gentler options, and every venue on this list runs its own rules on how long you stay in, so follow the staff rather than the internet.

Hours, water and booking

Earliest doors are 6am at Body Factory, Nirvana, Reload and Power + Revive on weekdays, and PATH; latest close is 11pm at Nirvana Life, with AMO and Alchemy running to 10pm. Coldest published water is 4 C, at AMO's ice barrels, Body Factory and Nirvana Life; sundaymood is the warmest at 8 C and says so. sundaymood books by WhatsApp and will not hold a slot without it; Alchemy and PATH sell through their sites (PATH on Momence); the gym day passes are bought at the desk or online, and Body Factory and Nirvana will want a signed waiver before the first plunge.
