Best of Tulum: Top-5 Spas, Yoga, Diving, Beach Clubs and More (2026)

Tulum has eight lists: spas, massage, yoga, gyms, Pilates, diving, healthy cafes and beach clubs. Recovery, coworking, surf, cooking classes and padel did not reach even four places that meet our rule of a Google rating of 4.4 or higher with at least 40 reviews, so we left them out. The town and the coast split the lists. Tulum Centro, La Veleta and Aldea Zama hold almost all the spas, massage studios, yoga and Pilates studios, gyms, vegan cafes and dive shops, while the beach clubs line the beach road between the ruins and km 8.5 of the Hotel Zone. Diving here means guided cenote dives inland, mostly at Dos Ojos. Each list is compiled from public Google review records and the places' own sites; we have not visited them in person.

Where should I stay in Tulum for spas, yoga, gyms and diving?

By these lists, in town. Tulum Centro has four of the five dive shops, the boxing gym, a spa with a water circuit, three massage spas, Tribal and OM Collective yoga and most of the vegan cafes; La Veleta has the CrossFit box, Lokah yoga, two Pilates studios and Detox Spa; Aldea Zama has three spas and two Pilates studios. Staying on the beach road puts you next to the beach clubs and Lula Wellness yoga but a drive from almost everything else.

How do I get between Tulum town and the beach clubs?

The beach clubs in this list are roughly 3 to 8 km in a straight line from Tulum Centro, along the coast road, so plan on a car, a bike or a taxi. El Paraiso is inside a national park, and its site says cars need a beach club reservation to enter.

Why is there no coworking, surf or recovery list for Tulum?

Because not enough places passed our rule of a Google rating of 4.4 or higher with at least 40 reviews. For coworking only 2 qualified of 9 checked, after we removed a members community with no space of its own and a listing whose site is an unfilled template; for surf 3 of 7 and for recovery 1 of 68. Cooking classes (2 of 2) and padel (2 of 3) also fell short. We publish a list only when at least 4 places qualify.
