The 10 Best Dive Shops in Bali: Real Prices from 990k to 3.7m IDR (2026)

The most complete published price matrix in Bali diving, and the reason it wins: one dive in Padangbai 900,000, two 1,400,000, the Jetty 1,450,000, Tulamben shore 1,600,000 and jukung 1,800,000, Seraya 1,650,000, Amed 1,785,000 shore and 1,950,000 by jukung, Nusa Penida north 1,800,000, Crystal Bay 1,900,000 and Manta Point 2,200,000 for two dives or 2,700,000 for three. That Manta Point number is the cheapest we verified anywhere, against 2,400,000 at OK Divers and 2,500,000 at Bali Aqua. Prices include site fees, taxes, lunch, drinks and a guide at a maximum of four divers each, and the Open Water course is 6,200,000 for three days. Being based in Padangbai rather than the south also means shorter boat rides to the eastern sites.

The cheapest verified diving on the island, and it is not a cut-price version of the same day: the USAT Liberty wreck at Tulamben starts in the shallows a short walk from the beach, so there is no boat to pay for. One dive 550,000, two 990,000, three 1,320,000, four 1,540,000, five 1,925,000, with a night dive adding 550,000. Equipment rental and course materials are included and the Open Water course is 6,900,000, discounted from a listed 8,500,000. The trade-off is location: this is a village operation five to six hours of round-trip driving from Canggu or Seminyak, so it makes sense as an overnight in Tulamben rather than a day out.

The best maths for anyone diving more than twice. Two dives a day are 1,250,000, three a day 1,700,000, five dives over two days 2,800,000, ten dives over four days 5,500,000, and past eleven dives the rate drops to 520,000 each, against roughly 700,000 a dive on a two-dive day here and 900,000 to 945,000 for a single dive at Geko or Legend. Nitrox is free for certified divers and lunch is at their own restaurant. One thing to budget: these prices exclude equipment, which is 250,000 a day.

Based on Nusa Penida itself, which changes the day: no two-hour fast boat before the first dive and no clock-watching to catch the last one back. Two morning fun dives are 1,950,000, a full day of three is 2,550,000, a skills refresh 500,000, and a pool-only Try Scuba 800,000 before you commit. Gear, snacks, towel, lunch and a guide at four divers maximum are included, with 10 percent off if you bring your own kit and 5 to 20 percent off for volume. It is also the only operator here that publishes a cancellation policy: full refund beyond thirty days, half between twenty and thirty, nothing inside twenty - which is worth reading before you pay the 50 percent deposit.

The straightforward southern option: pickup from Sanur and the main resort areas, a 5 Star centre in Sanur and an instructor development centre on Nusa Penida. Two dives at Tulamben on the Liberty are 1,850,000, Padang Bai's Blue Lagoon 1,950,000, Nusa Penida with Manta Point 2,500,000 for two dives or 2,900,000 for three. Full equipment, guide, transport from Sanur, marine park fees and lunch are all in the price, which is the cleanest inclusion list here. Beginners: Discover Scuba is 2,150,000 at Tulamben or Padang Bai and 2,800,000 at Nusa Penida, and the course ladder runs 5,300,000 for Scuba Diver, 7,200,000 for Open Water and 6,100,000 for Advanced.

The transparency here is in the surcharge. Most operators quietly build the cost of the long run to Manta Point into a higher headline number; Legend publishes a 150,000 per person supplement for the distant sites and leaves the base rates alone. A day trip including ferry and transport is 2,230,000 for two dives, three dives in a day 2,500,000, a single dive 945,000, a night dive 1,150,000, and a six-to-eight dive package works out at 850,000 a dive. Fun dives are the most expensive in this ten - Tulamben and Padang Bai 2,500,000 for two, Amed and Candi Dasa 2,700,000, Nusa Penida with Manta 3,500,000 for three, Menjangan Wall 3,700,000 for two - and an extra dive is 600,000. If your goal is a certification you will use for years, the thirty-year track record is the argument; if it is two dives on a Tuesday, the shops above cost less.

The one to book if the group is split between divers and non-divers, because it publishes snorkelling next to diving instead of treating it as an afterthought: Nusa Penida snorkelling with three stops is 1,900,000 and Padang Bai two stops 1,500,000. Diving runs Nusa Penida three dives 2,970,000, Padang Bai two dives 2,090,000, Candidasa three dives 2,970,000, a Menjangan special 3,630,000 and an eight-dive, three-day combo 7,590,000. Boat, full kit, light breakfast and lunch, guide, hotel or airport pickup and underwater photos are included. It is also the only operator here that states the Nusa Penida entrance fee on the price page - 10,000 for Indonesians, 100,000 for foreigners, not included.

The only operator we found that publishes a price for diving Sanur's own reef: 1,850,000 for two dives, no cross-island drive, which is a genuinely useful option on an arrival day or when the roads to Karangasem are a write-off.
