Is a gym day pass in Ubud worth it?
The ten Ubud gyms and what the day pass buys
Every gym here is on our ranking of the best gyms in Ubud, with the published day pass, the monthly rate where one is published and the honest note on what the ticket includes. "n/a" means not published, not guessed.

Ten gyms, day passes from 40,000 to 350,000, median about 250,000; the four cheapest have no air conditioning, the four dearest include water. The thing that decides whether a pass is worth it is not the equipment but the hour you can train and the water you will use.
Source: our Ubud gym ranking on this site (data/venues.csv), prices as published by each gym or, where a gym publishes none, from two dated 2026 guides as noted on the ranking; checked 16-17 October 2026. The gyms' websites we opened on 18 October 2026 (Titi Batu, Ubud.Fitness) show rates only inside a booking widget, so the figures above are the ranking's.
When the day pass is worth it
Three cases. First, you train early and want a bar: Massa's, Boom Gym and the Ubud Fitness Centre at 40,000-100,000 are real gyms with real plates, and before 9am the lack of air conditioning is a non-issue. That is the best value lift on the island, and nobody writing "best gyms in Ubud" tells you so because the rooms are not photogenic. Second, you want water more than weights: Titi Batu's pass (190,000-310,000 depending on where you buy it) puts a 25-metre pool, a steam room, a sauna and a cold plunge on one ticket, and Bali Eden's 350,000 is a lap pool, a sauna and a plunge in Mas. If you would otherwise pay a bathhouse for the plunge, the gym pass is the cheaper way in. Third, you are a CrossFit regular and want a class with a coach: Ubud.Fitness runs the only proper box in town and 275,000 is what a drop-in class costs at boxes across Bali.
The arithmetic for a week: three early sessions at a 50,000 room plus one pool day at Titi Batu is about 400,000, which is one day at Bali Eden or Nova, or a quarter of Ubud.Fitness's month.
When it is not
At noon at the cheap rooms: Massa's is described in our research as very hot after 09:00, Jungle Box is an outdoor box where midday is brutal and rain changes the plan, and Boom Gym has no AC at all. A 50,000 pass you cannot use at the hour you are free is not cheap. At the premium floors when you only want to lift: RAW at 280,000 and Nova at 300,000-350,000 are design-led rooms where the floor is the supporting act, and Ubud.Fitness's 275,000 does not include the sauna and plunge (a separate 150,000). If your plan is forty minutes with a barbell, you are paying Canggu prices for an Ubud floor. And anywhere at the day rate past the break-even: Titi Batu's month at about 1.45 million is five to eight day passes, Ubud.Fitness's 1.85 million is seven, the local rooms' 350,000-550,000 months are seven to twelve. Past that count, the month is the better spend.
What Ubud is really selling: water, not weights
Read the day-pass column against the water column and the market makes sense. Ubud's premium gyms are clubs: Titi Batu is a pool with a gym attached, Bali Eden is a lap pool with a sauna, Nova is a wellness club, Gymnasium Bali sits inside PARQ with a sauna upgrade that lifts the month from 1.7 to 2.7 million. The lifting floor in each case is small or secondary, which is why the heavy-lifting crowd in our research prefers Canggu. If a 25-metre pool after a session is the point of your day, Ubud's passes are good value against a Canggu bathhouse (300,000-550,000 for a plunge session there); if the squat rack is the point, the 40,000-100,000 rooms are the honest buy and everything above them is a tax on the setting.
The honest alternatives
A yoga drop-in at 110,000-185,000 is the same money as a mid-tier day pass and is what Ubud does best; see our Ubud yoga ranking for the rooms and why Ubud wins on yoga. A massage at the 200,000-260,000 floor (Karsa, Cantika Zest, Ubud Traditional on the massage list) costs the same as a premium gym pass and is the better use of an afternoon if you are here for a week. And the Campuhan Ridge walk is free, hot and uphill, which is more training than most people get from a 275,000 pass they bought at noon.
Not for
Not for anyone who trains at midday and needs air conditioning on a budget: the cheap rooms do not have it and the cooled rooms start at 190,000. Not for the lifter who needs a full free-weight floor with heavy plates: Titi Batu's gym is small next to its facilities, and the serious floors are on the coast. Not for a walk-in without a ride: Mas, Lodtunduh, Peliatan and Kedewatan are all outside the centre, so budget a scooter or a 50,000-100,000 ride each way, which at the cheap rooms doubles the price of the pass. And not for anyone counting on a published number at the desk: Titi Batu's day pass runs 190,000 to 310,000 by channel, the Ubud Fitness Centre is 90,000 or 100,000 by source, and Nova's prices are not on an official page we could verify.
